Buying Tickets Online

Do you offer a discount for buying multiple tickets?

Yes. "Bring a friend" pricing applies automatically when you buy more than one ticket at once, no code needed. It's per ticket, not off your total, and the two work a little differently.

For a show: 1-5 tickets is full price, 6-9 tickets is $5.00 off each ticket, 10 or more is $6.00 off each ticket.

For a drop-in class: 1 ticket is full price, 2-3 tickets is 10% off each ticket, 4 or more is 20% off each ticket.

I bought a ticket but haven't gotten a confirmation email. What do I do?

First, check your spam folder. It can take a minute to arrive. If it's genuinely not there, use our order lookup page to find your order by transaction ID, or by logging into My Tickets if you have an account.

Rescheduling Your Tickets

Can I move my ticket to a different date?

Yes. Log into My Tickets and click Reschedule on the order you want to move. You can move to any other date of the same show or class (not a different production), as long as all of these are true:

It's more than 36 hours before your currently-ticketed date.

The new date is within 2 calendar months of your original ticketed date. For example, a ticket originally for January 20th can be moved to anything up to and including March 20th.

The new date costs the same or less than what you originally paid. Moving to a more expensive date isn't available online.

There's room for your whole party at the new date. A multi-ticket order always moves together, and it can't be split across two different dates.

How many times can I reschedule?

As many times as you like, as long as each new date still falls within the window above (measured from your very first purchase date, not from whichever date you most recently moved to).

Does rescheduling cost anything?

No. Moving to a date that costs the same as what you paid is free. Moving to a genuinely cheaper date is also free (we don't refund the difference, but we don't charge you anything extra either).

Refunds

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Log into My Tickets and click Request Refund on the order. It has to be more than 36 hours before your ticketed date, and it refunds the whole order. We can't refund part of a multi-ticket purchase.

Is there a fee?

Yes, a processing fee is withheld from every refund: $5.00 per ticket for drop-in classes, $3.00 per ticket for shows.

Do I get cash back, or store credit?

Your choice. Refund to your original payment method, or to an account credit you can put toward a future purchase instead. Account credit never expires.

Questions About Classes

I'm a complete beginner, where do I start?

Every year, Endgames welcomes hundreds of new faces to improv. With our 5-level core-curriculum for improv, start with our 101 (Group Dynamics) class. Generally taught over 7 consecutive weeks, each class is 21-hours of instructor and one fantastic graduation show. Our welcoming instructors and safe classroom culture ensure you learn the basics and build on past lessons.

Want to give it a try? We have a weekly drop-in class. A drop-in is a one-day class that lets you sample what a class feels like. Each day is a stand-alone improv topic for all levels, but mostly new faces. Check out our classes page for more information and the link to reserve a ticket.

I've done improv before, where do I start?

We recommend everyone start at level 101. Even experienced improvisers will meet potential future teammates, better connect to the community, and reinforce good habits. Taking our classes is not a requirement of being involved. You can submit an indie team to our indie shows like Thunderdome, audition for a house team, participate in jams, or rent the theater for your own indie show.

If you would like to take classes, please email us at classes@endgamesimprov.com

Do I have to do the graduation show? What if I miss the graduation show?

Last we checked, Endgames Improv is the only theater in the SF Bay Area with graduation shows after every level, even 101. We firmly believe that you grow faster and become more confident in three ways: being in class, seeing shows, and being in shows. The last part is so often ignored. But we believe the results are self-evident when you compare our graduates versus any other training center.

Being in the graduation show is not required to pass the class. However, we highly encourage you to be there and invite your family and friends.

I might be late for class, is that okay? What if I miss a class?

To pass a class, you must attend 5 out of 7 class days. An absence is defined as missing more than 30 minutes of a single class day. Please make sure you can reliably arrive on time, as being 30 minutes late will make it tough for you to pass. We have attendance requirements to make sure students can get to know each other and feel comfortable being vulnerable in front of each other. The more advanced a class topic, the more cohesion is needed for success.

Generally, most folks miss a single day of a 7-week course. Thus, don't let a single absence keep you from signing up. No class day is more important to be at than any other day. In the event you miss more than 2 days, we can schedule a single make-up day in a later round. You may have to delay your next level until the make-up day is complete.

Can we reschedule a class day or the graduation show?

Unfortunately, we cannot. There are too many moving parts to make a change to a day of class or the graduation show. We get it, it's a huge bummer to miss either. But trying to coordinate an adjustment requires the teacher, the space, and all your peers to be available.

Please be sure to check every class day listed and skipped days, if any. Even if you think we should skip a holiday, we may not. In addition, the graduation shows are scheduled only after the class begins. It is best to keep open the weekend immediately following your last class day.

(This is different from moving your own ticket to a different already-scheduled drop-in date. See "Buying Tickets Online" above for that.)

My friend is in town, can they watch?

We want everyone to feel safe in the classroom. Thus, we don't allow anyone to sit in and watch.

Can we have a copy of the graduation show?

While our theaters are equipped with top-of-the-line streaming video and recording, we don't offer copies of graduation shows. You and your peers are learning how to do improv, and that can be scary. The graduation show is about trying something new and sometimes failing. No one should be afraid that these early shows could be posted online.

Questions About Shows

Can I buy tickets at the theater?

Absolutely! You do risk missing out if we sell out. But generally, only the 9pm shows on Friday and Saturday hit capacity. If you need a guarantee, buy online. We take cash, card, and phone.

Do you sell drinks? Food?

Yes! We serve soft drinks, beer, wine, and pre-mixed cocktails. As we do not have a kitchen, our food is limited to pre-packaged snacks.

Do you allow outside food?

We do! But it can only be consumed in the lobby. Inside our theaters, we only allow consumption of our concession items.

Am I allowed to heckle the performers?

We take the protection of our performers very seriously. Comedy and theater often requires performers to present a piece of themselves on stage. Unless asked for input by the performers, we kindly ask that you enjoy the show by watching and laughing. We have a zero tolerance policy for customers too intoxicated to be in control of their actions. Violators will be asked to leave without refund.

Do you have multiple ticket discounts?

When you buy a ticket for a show, your ticket is good for any other non-sold-out show that same night. Buy a ticket for the early show, and stay later if you are enjoying yourself. Or, buy a ticket for the later show, and come early. Whichever show you have a ticket for is 100% guaranteed (assuming you are on time), the others are icing on the cake.

I missed the show, can I move or receive a refund?

You can reschedule to a different date of the same show online, no need to email us. See "Rescheduling Your Tickets" above for the details (cutoff, window, and what "same show" means). You can also request a refund, see "Refunds" above.

That said, this has to be requested before the show, not after you've already missed it. Once the date has passed, we can't undo that after the fact. If you have a genuine emergency, email us and we'll see what we can do.

Can I be seated late for the show?

Yes and no. Any unclaimed tickets are sold to our stand-by line 10 minutes after the show is scheduled to begin. If we sell your spot, then we can no longer fit you in. If we don't sell your spot, you can absolutely be seated late. We aren't snobs about our shows, but we sure like all the seats being filled.

General Questions

Do you allow service animals?

Of course! Service animals are allowed. We follow the guidelines set forth by the ada.gov website.

We kindly decline to allow emotional support animals that fall outside the service animal definition.

What accessibility accommodations do you have?

Please let us know if we can be helpful in addition to any of the services already provided.

Our location at 2989 Mission St is fully wheelchair accessible with doors, bathrooms, and proper hallway dimensions. Our location at 2965 Mission St is not yet.

Our theaters can be equipped with wider seating and support for up to 700 pounds. We can provide hearing impairment devices with individualized volume controls with a feed of the ceiling microphones.

Can I submit a show or put my name in the hat?

Most of our shows are either house teams or produced by others who rent from us. We are happy to put you in contact with the right person if you email us at info@endgamesimprov.com. At this time, Endgames does not produce one-off shows.

I went to an event and everything was locked up?

While we do make mistakes, there is very low chance we are not holding an event that is posted on our website or on a ticketing site. We have two properties that are super close to each other. Please check the address you are at before assuming we were not open.
